The activity of the Films and Documentaries Department focuses on Hellenic world, since its study is the primary aim of the Foundation of the Hellenic World. The department’s objective is the creation of documentaries of archaeological, historical and generally cultural content, which will cover as many aspects of Hellenic history and culture as possible. By combining the application of 3D photorealistic reconstructions of monuments that no longer exist with scenes shot in today's natural environment, the documentaries present the most complete picture of the architecture of a specific historical period.

The activities of the department include: creation of videos for exhibitions, production of short films for European Programmes, social messages, corporate presentations and, in collaboration with the Internet and Multimedia Department, films that are shown at the areas of Hellenic Cosmos.
