Gold hyperpyron of the emperors John V Palaiologos and John VI Kantakouzenos (joint reign 1347-1352). On the obverse, the Virgin on the walls of Constantinople and on the reverse Christ crowning the two emperors. This is the last gold coin minted in the Byzantine Empire.
