The Cyber Hall, an originally designed Internet Cafe, is today the best equipped and the most widely visited one in Athens. Dual viewing monitors, great connection speeds, ideal atmosphere and excellent, friendly service by our specialized staff make your visit a unique experience. FHW uses daily these modern areas for "searching" on the Internet, a medium that provides the opportunity for the dissemination of information all over the world, but also for showing its digital productions. There the visitor can surf on the 40,000 web pages of FHW's site about Hellenic history and thousands other web sites from all over the world, but also to entertain himself with the Foundation's interactive productions. Visitors can surf the Internet free of charge. Many collaborating institutions also use the Cyber Hall as a integral part of their events that they organize at Hellenic Cosmos.
A large part of the visitors of Hellenic Cosmos are children, which surf on the Internet at the Cyber Hall. For this reason FHW takes part in the Greek open line Safeline, regarding illegal content on the Internet, together with Safenet, Forthnet and the Foundation for Research and Technology.
SafeLine is the Greek open line that receives complaints for illegal or harmful material on the Internet, with particular emphasis on child abuse. Its primary objective is to provide a channel of communication for those users who wish to contribute to the effort to remove such type of content from the Internet.
The easiest way to make a complaint is by filling in the electronic forms at Sefeline's web page. The complaints in these forms are made anonymously, except when the person making the complaint chooses otherwise.
