The objective of the project "Cultural portal of the Aegean Archipelago" is the development of a unified web site, which will provide cultural and historical infrastructure information, in order to demonstrate and promote the unique characteristics of the Aegean. The historical and archaeological information extends from Prehistory to modern times. The portal also includes information about the natural environment of the Archipelago and thematic or historical information of cultural infrastructure that are related to the distinctive character of the Aegean and its historical placement in wider geographical areas. The project also includes an extensive webliography that deals with the cultural and geographical character of the Aegean area.
