The country's international relations
During the interwar period and at least until mid-1930s,
Greek foreign policy had been readjusted, transforming its requirements
and practices according to the changeable facts of that period. Despite
the frequent political alternations, Greece evolved with rapid rates towards
domestic reconstruction and industrial development and securing its vital
interests demanded the adoption of flexible as well as direct diplomatic
approaches. Undoubtedly the success of such moves did not depend only
on masterstrokes, but also on the country's weight and international supports
on the diplomacy front.
