The printed publication "Tales of the Olympic Games. A unique exhibition" is the catalogue of the exhibition with the same name that was presented at the Foundation's cultural centre Hellenic Cosmos from the 1st of March 2004 to the 5th of December 2006. The exhibition presented unknown aspects of the Olympic Games through original interactive exhibits and with the participation of the visitors. The catalogue "Tales of the Olympic Games. A unique exhibition" includes abundant photographic material, three-dimensional reconstructions, pictures from the exhibits and the units of the exhibition and maps. It is accompanied by a timetable with the most important moments of the Olympic Games, both the ancient and the modern ones, while it emphasizes the efforts for their revival with the organization of the Zappian Olympic Games from 1859 to 1889. The texts of this publication present the museological approach and the design of the exhibition, while there is a reference to the history of the modern Olympic Games and the way they incorporate the wider social and cultural conditions of their era. The publication is available in two languages, English and Greek.
