Mr. Vassilis Thedorou is trying to record the contribution of the Greek language to the European ones, and through them to the whole world in his book "It's ALL GREEK Indeed". The Greek language, together with philosophy, arts and political thought, inspired Western Culture. In his work Mr. Theodorou watches this charming journey of words, as well as the concepts and values that are inherent in them. The book is divided into five parts: the first three parts deal with the words-loans to the English language, in various fields, from sciences and arts to everyday activities. In the fourth part the author refers to Greek mythology, since many of the expressions we use daily, such as "Achilles' heel", "labyrinth", "halcyon days" etc, have their origin there. A brief description of the myth is used in order to clarify the relationship between myth and expression. Finally, in the fifth part Mr. Theodorou turns to Greek history and presents people, events and name places that have enriched English language with expressions and metaphors of international scope.
